when working in both Excel and PowerPoint creating diagrams, there seems to be a bug that close all instances of excel when closen the excel window that i use to input data into the diagram i PowerPoint.
I have one Excel sheet open and one Powerpoint open. when i insert a diagram into Powerpoint and go to "Edith data in Excel", i then input the data and close the window. the other excel file i have open that is not connected to powerpoint closes, everytime.
How do i fix this issue?

Could you share the Office Version you are using? I cannot reproduce your issue at my side.
When I edit a workbook in PowerPoint and close it, the exist workbook is still opened.
