Excel - Number formats

When I insert for instance a 2 in a cell, it changes to 0.02 and a 7 to 0.07 etc. I have to insert it as 2.0 in order to get the number 2 only. I have tried all formats available but to no avail.

    Select File > Options > Advanced.

    Clear the check box 'Automatically insert a decimal point'.

    Click OK.

    As per your description, check if this issue could also be caused by the setting that automatically inserts a decimal point, firstly, make sure you didn't select the option, "Automatically insert a decimal point**",** for your reference: Advanced options - Microsoft Support

    Also, can you share a sample Excel file, and I will investigate an issue. If it is convenient for you, could you please send copy of your document file to me so that I can look from my side, and I will check this behavior and help you to fix and verify the result with you.
