Hello,

We are running a Windows Server 2016 Standard.

Adding a printer using the following process:
Control Panel | Devices & Printers | Add Printer (Choose a device launches) | Select Printer | Next.
I get:
128404-image.png

I've tested with the following:

  1. Verify that an x86 driver is available for the shared printer.
  2. Tested by using UNC after selecting "My printer is not listed". This appears to work, although I have to enter Admin credentials to allow installation of the driver.
  3. Spooler has been restarted.

Can you furnish appropriate troubleshooting steps?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Rudy

We are facing the same issue on our RDS env.
As admin i'm able to open the printer (so driver is already installed) But as an user i get the same error.

The RDS is Windows Server 2016 Standard and the printserver is Server 2012 R2.
