Hi,

Onedrive makes a new empty Documents folder in different languages. When I delete it, it comes back. Very annoying, and dangerous. There are many complains of this issue in your chat, but no one has proposed a solution.

Thank you.

    Dear deyan yordanov,

    Thanks for visiting Microsoft Community.

I understand that your OneDrive creates a new empty Documents folder in a different language.

This issue has been reported by other users and is considered a known issue in OneDrive. Specifically, it has been observed that after manually deleting the “Documents” folder, it sometimes reappears with a name in a random language. The Microsoft development team is currently investigating the matter, however, a comprehensive solution has not yet been provided. Rest assured, however, that your OneDrive account is currently safe and Microsoft's OneDrive team is actively working on a fix.

1-> Move and transfer these files on OneDrive for web

Go to onedrive.live.com ->Search for the identical folder -> Carefully examine the sizes of the folders without deleting any -> Access the smaller folder via the web -> Choose the files and data contained within -> Use the navigation bar to select 'Move to' -> Proceed by following the instructions in the image:

Note: Once the data migration is complete, consider deleting or renaming the files to align with the server's data structure. Should you need to back up the data, simply right-click on the folder and select 'Download and Back Up'.

2->Next, unlink and relink OneDrive for Windows

After confirming that the data is correctly placed in the Documents folder, proceed to OneDrive for Windows and choose to unlink your OneDrive client. Following this, relink it. Your data will remain safe; this process merely temporarily severs the connection between the local folder and the cloud. Any modifications made during the unlinking will be synchronized once you relink.

For detailed instructions on completing this action, consider consulting the provided documentation:

    -<Unlink and re-link OneDrive - Microsoft Support>

If any document folders reappear, verify they have the same replica name. If they do, repeat steps 1 and 2 multiple times to ensure they align with the correct server data structure type. Please inform us of any updates.

    Best regards
