Microsoft Excel - Cannot Insert Object (.docx)

Hi

I am having trouble inserting .docx as an object into my Excel sheet. I got this error message here that says "Cannot Insert Object". I can insert .pdf , but not .docx.

I've tried the following to resolve the issue with the following methods:

1. Create a brand new Excel file and insert the same .docx document. Got the same error message "Cannot Insert Object".
2. Insert the same .docx document into an Excel sheet on another laptop. it was successful.

Any other ways that I can try to resolve this issue?

It could be that docx file is still in used on your computer. Try restart your computer and check whether there is any other application is using that file.
