    Dear Jody,

    Good day!!

Apologies for the inconvenience caused and please don’t worry, let’s work together on your concern and move towards a resolution path.

I understand your concern and to my knowledge, I would like to convey that the error message “The products we found in your account cannot be used to activate Office in shared computer scenarios.”, will be generally encountered when the license assigned to your Office 365 account signed into the Office 365 apps doesn’t support the shared activation.

Reference: Troubleshoot issues with shared computer activation for Microsoft 365 Apps - Microsoft 365 Apps | Microsoft Learn

The following license supports Office apps with shared computer activation i.e., Office 365 E3, E5, and Microsoft 365 Business Premium.

In this situation, I would like to confirm the following information which will help us to better understand and guide you further:

    1. Screenshot of the About Word page: Open your Word document> File> Account> Click on About Word> Take a screenshot and share it with us.
    2. Screenshot of the Subscriptions page of your Office 365 account:

Open the browser and access the following URL: https://portal.office.com/account/?ref=MeControl#subscriptions > Enter the Office 365 account details > Subscriptions tab> See whether you are having the mentioned license.

    1. Are you using the Microsoft Personal account (@outlook.com) or Microsoft work/school account (@companyname.onmicrosoft.com)?

Our sincere apologies for not resolving the problem in the first reply but answers to the above queries will help us to better understand your situation and guide you in the right direction.

Appreciate your patience and understanding. Have a great day!!

    Best Regards,
    Sophia

    Office desktop?

O365 when installed under a Win user admin account, and run from that admin account, auto logs in when the PC is started. There is no separate login for any component.

Win search for Word > Resulting shortcut > Rt click > Pin to task bar > start Word from that shortcut (hover mouse over the shortcut gives access to the 10 most recent docs)
