    Hi AJ RAJ,

I have done all the above already before. Apparently my boss has switched my account so I cannot have desktop excel anymore, but also online is not working. And also: I have 2 more accounts and all of them are not working anymore? They haven't switched the accounts though. What's going on? Did Microsoft just change it from one day to another? How can it be, that one day all accounts work and 1 day later none of them do anymore?

    Thanks,

    Michaela

    Dear Michaela,

Thank you for the reply and the screenshot.

As from the screenshot, we can clearly see that the email that you are currently trying to access does not have required license.

So, I would like to suggest the below steps:

    1. Please check if you have the required license “The latest desktop version of Office”. If yes, **** then you do not need to ask your admin to assign the license to you.

You can check it by clicking the below link:

    https://portal.office.com/account/?ref=Harmony#subscriptions

If you don't see "The latest desktop version of Office” then I would recommend you check with your company administrator and help you assign the license to your account.

Moreover, you did mention on the reply that you removed the licenses, did you use the below steps to do that?

If you have the related license, you can also try to remove keychain access by the steps below and in the link:

How to remove Office license files on a Mac - Microsoft Support

    1. Download the license removal tool.

    1. Open the .pkg file from your Mac's Downloads folder.

**Note:**If you get an "unidentified developer" error, try opening the file by holding Control + clicking the file > Open.

    1. Select Continue and follow the prompts in the setup wizard.

**Caution:**We recommend you double-check that you have the correct account info ready by logging into Office.com/signin and checking for the license you want to activate with.

    1. When you're ready to complete the license removal, select Install. You may need to enter your Mac's local admin account password.

After the tool successfully removes licenses, select Close.

    1. Now open any Office app and sign in to activate with the email account associated with your Microsoft 365 for Mac license. If you're troubleshooting an issue, you may need to reinstall Office before signing in.

After you've successfully activated, restart your computer and then you're good to go!

**Note:**If your account has both a Microsoft 365 for Mac license and a one-time purchase associated with it, you'll be prompted to choose which license you want to activate with. We recommend always choosing Microsoft 365 for Mac if available.

    1. Uninstall the License Removal Tool by dragging the Microsoft_Office_License_Removal file from Finder > Downloads to Trash.

In the meanwhile, if the troubleshooting that I have provided in this reply is helpful then you can also provide your feedback via options below:

    Appreciate your understanding and patience.

    Sincerely,

    Hi AJ RAJ,

    thanks for your reply.

Enclosed please find a screenshot. I have the newest app version. I just deleted everything including licenses, all the apps, just as recommended by you and installed them again, but it didn't change anything.

Also I'm sure there are no unpaid balances, it doesn't just happen with this account, I have 3 different business accounts, that all worked until now and now I just get this info for all of them.

I really need this for work, pls help asap.

    Thanks, Michaela

    Michaela

    Dear Michaela,

Good day and thanks for posting your question in our forum.

Regarding your issue, I would like to ask and suggest some workaround to edit your documents:

    1. Please provide us with some screenshots of your issue and the app versions.
    2. Did you try using the Online version of the apps?
    3. Have try accessing the Microsoft 365 Admin Center, sometimes the issue might occur due to unpaid balances?

For the 3^rd^ part, I would suggest contacting your admin and ask him/her to check the billing for the Microsoft subscription that you acquired before to do so please refer to the link below:

    Appreciate your understanding and patience.
