One Drive Sync

My One Drive files are not automatically uploading.....It's funny though: Microsoft Word Docs, Excel Spreadsheets, and Power Point Presentations do actually upload, but not any other file extension, eg. PDF. In addition, even the above-mentioned word and excel docs and PP will ONLY upload if I edit them when working online, but if I am working offline, they WILL NOT automatically upload when i re-connect to the internet. I've tried EVERYTHING - I unlinked and re-linked my One Drive, I've changed my credentials, etc. NOTHING worked. I have Windows 10. HELP!!

    Hi Zenobia,

I tried just now, another reset. I thought perhaps a reset after disabling all startups might just work.

Well, this time, I got the following error message after the reset was complete. Any suggestions?

    thanks again Zenobia!

    😒😒😒

Unfortunately, this did not work either.

I did a clean boot, I disabled EVERY SINGLE startup (minus the Microsoft Services, which I hid, as per instructions on the link you provided), and I only enabled One Drive.

    It's still not uploading.

    Anything else to try?

    Samuel

    Dear SamuelSteinhardtYZ,

We have received your reply and thank you for helping us try to troubleshoot OneDrive file synchronization information.

We see that you said that resetting OneDrive and trying to change the account still did not alleviate your problem.

This may indeed be related to the impact of other software or programs on the operation of OneDrive.

You can continue to try to change the account settings and view the corresponding results. At the same time, in order to check whether there are other programs in your system that conflict with the operation of the OneDrive program, causing errors when you save and open.

You can try to perform a clean boot through the detailed steps in the following link, and then confirm whether the problem still occurs:

How to perform a clean boot in Windows - Microsoft Support

Disclaimer: A “clean boot” starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. It helps to determine whether a background service is interfering with your game or program and to isolate the cause of a problem.

These steps of "clean boot" might look complicated at first glance. However, to avoid any trouble for you, please follow them in order and step-by step so that it will help you get back on track.

We also look forward to you sharing your results with us.

    Best regards

Hi Zenobia, and I really appreciate you taking the time to try to help me.

So far, I tried the reset. As you said, after the reset was completed, a full sync took place.

Unfortunately, the problem was not solved. Today, for example, i added a PDF to my One Drive folder, and it didn't upload.

I will try to change the account (which you prescribed), and I'll see, but honestly, I'm not too optimistic about it. I've tried everything else.

My gut feeling is that some firewall or something is blocking the uploads.

I did, indeed, disable my anti-virus ( I use Avira), and it didn't help.

Thanks for trying! I'll see what happens when I change the account settings, and let you know

    Thank you, Samuel
