Hello,

I would like to recover some pdf files after a ppt conversion and the files are unfindable locally or with onedrive online. However, when I want to create a new pdf file, Powerpoint tells me that the files already exist...

On top of that, when I say that I want to save the pdf file on the local PC, the file are still save firstly on the server...

How is this possible to recover my files without waiting severals hours for a server update ?

Thanks

Nicolas

    Dear Nicolas,

    Good day!!

Apologies for the inconvenience caused and please don’t worry, let’s work together on your concern and move towards a resolution path.

As per the description shared, I understand your concern and to my knowledge, the prompt “file already exists” generally occurs when there is an existing file in the location where you are trying to save.

Since the problematic PDF files are not findable either in your Local PC or OneDrive Online, I would like to confirm whether you have used Search feature at both File Explorer and OneDrive Online to find the problematic PDF files.

If no, I request you to use the Search feature in both File Explorer and OneDrive Online to find out for missing PDF files.

Regarding “files are still save firstly on server”, I would like to confirm the following information which will help us to better understand and guide you further:

    1. Can I know whether the PDF files are being saved to OneDrive Online or Shared/Network server?
    2. Can you please share the steps for saving the PDF files on the local PC?
    3. Does the problem happen only with the PDF files?
    4. Are you using Microsoft Personal account (@outlook.com) or Microsoft work/school account (@companyname.onmicrosoft.com)?

Our sincere apologies for not resolving the problem in the first reply but answers to the above queries will help us to better understand your situation and guide you in the right direction.

Appreciate your patience and understanding. Have a great day!!

    Best Regards,

    Sophia
