ActiveX is a Microsoft Windows product which is not & never has been supported on Macs. It most likely never will be now that Microsoft has stopped supporting it. There is no way around it other than having an Excel for Windows user redesign the workbook using Mac-compatible controls [Content Controls or Legacy Form Fields].
