Hi.

I tried to upload a image of my situation.

I want to have a shared folder for pictures between my onedrive account and my wifes account. This folder need to be easy accessed by explorer and onedrive sync client. (so is updated i both places all the time)

I have tried to look this issue up in number of youtube video and it seems that there is a solution for this need / wish.

In the youtube movies there is a "sync this folder button" on the top of the web Application of onedrive in shared files that can chooses (just like in profesional)

This i also why i chose this platform for sync. (google disk has it)

As you might see in attatched picture (if attached) there is only an option for make a link to share folders in my onedrive.

so when press this option i sync shared folder i do get it up in my wifes expolrer as an link.
But when i press the link. I get directet to the webverson of onedrive. this way i can not use the filed shared directly in programs without download files first.

Is there something i have done wrong?

  • we are using office 365 family account (up to 6 members)
  • i have made sure that there is edit rights in folder. and i can upload files into shared folder from web application.
  • we are in same familiy groupe.

This i a link to youtube that is showing what i would do. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NAKPMzfm_Co

Under is how it looks. i dont have Sync button. just shortcut button (Legg til snarvei til mine filer)

    Dear,Håvard Vatnehol

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

We are aware of the issue and are working on resolving it. The url files will automatically convert back to folders when the issue is resolved. For now, we recommend accessing shared folders that are in this state on OneDrive.com.
