Help with Recent Charges

Hello,

On November 1st a charge was posted to my personal credit card for $107.49 from Microsoft 365. After talking to my credit card company they stated the charge has occurred annually since 2022. I'm hoping to see what this charge is for. The only Microsoft 365 products that I've had for that long would be through my company.

Thanks,

Jennifer

    Dear Jennifer Mack,

Hello! Welcome to the Microsoft Community. I'm glad to be able to assist you.

I understand that you have been charged a fee by Microsoft. And would like to understand what it is because of. I understand how you feel and I will try to help you.

    >Firstly, I found a support article for you about self-diagnosis of uninformed deductions, it's recommended that you can read and follow the steps mentioned: -<How to investigate a billing charge from Microsoft - Microsoft Support>

    >Then you need sign up to visit MicrosoftAccount to get more details:

    • Under Payment options, make sure that the credit card or payment method used to pay for your subscription is valid and hasn't expired. You can check whether there is an actual deduction record on the linked bank card or the corresponding payment method.
    • Under Order history, check for unconscious charges where you can see your payment details.

    >Then you need follow the steps below to check or get the payment details and inquire about refunds:

You need to follow the steps I provide below to contact support (I've taken screenshots of the key steps to make sure you're doing it correctly) You can choose to chat with support one-on-one online or wait for a support specialist to call you back to resolve your payment-related issues:

One thing that needs to be explained is that I, as the forum agent, do not have the authority to help you verify the payment or account directly, so as not to expose your private information to the forum, which is a platform for sharing and communicating publicly. This information would be left with chat support in a separate window:

    Contact Microsoft Support:

    1. Visit this website:  Contact - Microsoft Support
    2. Type your problems in the search box there. ( For example, Contact support.)
    3. Now click on Get Help and select Contact Support below. Image
    4. Go to the Products & Services tab and choose the Microsoft 365 and Office category
    5. On the Category tab, choose Manage My Subscription.
    6. Go to Confirm.
    7. Choose to chat with a support representative or request a call back.

Note: The contact support team only works at certain times, so if the last window says it's not there, try opening it again the next day. If you prefer phone support, you can leave a phone number. That way, they can call you and help you.

    >In addition: If the charges are indeed unauthorized and your payment details may have been compromised, you may need to call the police or report it. For a link on how to report a credit card, see: https://www.westpac.co.nz/help/how-to-dispute-a-credit-card-transaction/

Feel free to share updates with me on how things are progressing after you've completed the aforementioned steps. Should you have any questions or require clarification, do not hesitate to reach out to me. I‘d like to do my utmost to assist you.

    Best Wishes
