Number of characteres: Access _ Text Long

I have a problem with Access.
The field is set to "LONG TEXT", but Access is limiting the number of characters, I can't put more than 255.
Has anyone had this problem who can help?

    If you create a new table and add a long text field, do you still get the same problem?

    What happens if instead of pasting, you import the Excel data into Access?
