Excel isn't automatically updating cells
Excel isn't automatically updating cells unless I type something in another cell. I have Automatic selected in Formulas/Calculation Options. It only seems to be an issue when I highlight a row and pull it down so the contents populate the rows beneath.
For example, if Row 1 is linked to cells in Row 1 of another sheet and I pull the row down to populate rows 2-10 with the same formula then those rows are only showing whatever is in row 1. If I then type anything in another cell it will update those cells so they now link to rows 2-10 of the sheet they're linked to, as they should. If I copy and paste row 1 to row 2 then it's fine. It only seems to be when highlighting a row and pulling the entire row down to where I want.
Is this a fault or have I somehow clicked on an option to not update cells when pulling them down? Apologies if this isn't clear.
EDIT: I've just realised it's only an issue when I have two or more sheets highlighted. It works fine if I drag down in one sheet but if I highlight 2+ sheets it doesn't work

The values are 'stale' although they are not reported as such and require F9 to calculate. I guess it's by design, though I can't explain why this doesn't work with multiple sheets selected. Otherwise it's a bug and you may report it via Help, Feedback, Report a Problem.

2024-08-14T09:18:37+00:00 Thanks. I've not had this problem before so don't think it's by design. I have noticed others have had this issue with the first recording I've seen back in 2017. It appears pressing enter in the dialogue box also refreshes the formulae but it's still another step I don't want to have to be doing each time. I'll report it as you suggest but hopefully someone else has a fix in the meantime?
