Powerpoint bugs

Here is a bug in powerpoint that has been widely known for years, with no solution yet: there is no way to set a common proofing language for all slides, all objects in one step. It is possible to select a single slide and set the language, but when I select all slides, the "set proofing language" button turns gray and cannot be clicked.

Partial workarounds need the use of VBA, e.g., windows - How do I change the language of all Powerpoint slides at once? - Super User

Why has this annoying bug not been fixed?

Another one: when I open a slide set created in an earlier version, or with Libreoffice, the text boxes are often messed up, with the content appearing on top of the title. The only way to correct this is to manually move the text boxes on each slide.

These two are enough to make me think of switching to other software, especially that for several years, no attempt has been made by the company to improve the program. Instead, the focus is on making the user interface more cumbersome and inconvenient, so that "search" is often the only way to find a function.
