Windows 10 disk partitions and " dynamic disks "

I have 2 separate hard disks installed on my PC , a separate one with the Windows OS installed on it and another separate one that doesn't have any OSs on it
The disk without the OS installed consists of 2 partitions , One of them is completely empty and the other has some stuff and i want to merge the two partitions together for more tidiness
So i deleted the empty partition and it became unallocated volume , and i clicked extend volume on the non empty one but when i click it iam presented with a warning with the following :-
"The operation you selected will convert the selected basic disk(s) to dynamic disk(s). If you convert the disk(s) to dynamic, you will not be able to start installed operation systems from any volume on the disk(s) (except the current boot volume). Are you sure you want to continue?"
So is it safe to just click continue and convert it to a dynamic disk whatever that is to merge the two partitions of the non-OS disk or will my windows and boot on the other hard disk get destroyed or will i lose any data on the other partition somehow ?

    Hello @sword man ,

    Thank you for your question.

Yes, you can click continue, but it's always good to keep in mind how to revert this process if there is a problem, here is a link below a document that shows you step by step how to revert from dynamic disk to basic disk:

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/storage/disk-management/change-a-dynamic-disk-back-to-a-basic-disk

Important: Back up your files, at least to ensure you don't miss anything important.
