In excel I have created a hyperlink using =HYPERLINK(link location, friendly name)
When I run a mail merge in word this merges as plain text.
For example in excel the url might be https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us and with the =hyperlink formula there would be a clickable link to the url but showing the text you indicated, such as:

However when doing a mail merge this just shows up as plain text! How can I get the hyperlink to merge to the Word document?
