A family of Microsoft word processing software products for creating web, email, and print documents.
Dear Fatima Silva5,
Welcome to Microsoft Community.
We understand that you are unable to create and open documents.
According to your description, you are trying to create documents and create through OneDrive, but errors are displayed. To further help you confirm the cause of the problem, please share more information with us:
- What version of Office and Word documents are you using? Microsoft 365 Personal or other? You can open any office component, click the file in the upper left corner, click the account below, and view the product information on the right to see what product is displayed.
- You said that creating through OneDrive also displays an error. Do you display errors when creating files of all formats? Or is there only a problem with Word files?
When you create files in OneDrive, do you do it through the OneDrive App or OneDrive Online?
- You said that the system prompts you for permission. Do you create documents by right-clicking on your desktop? Or do you create and open documents through other operations?
- When did this problem start? Is there any encryption or protection software installed in your system?
If possible, you can share more information or screenshots with us so that we can help you confirm the problem.
We have conducted inquiries and confirmed that some users need permission to open or create Office files because the CC Cleaner program is installed in the system, which leads to deviations in detection.
We are worried that the corresponding programs installed in your system may have an impact. You can try to confirm whether the same or similar programs are installed in your system. If so, you can try to uninstall or disable the program to see if it can help you alleviate the problem.
At the same time, in order to check the correctness of your program and system detection, you can help us try the following operations:
Repair Office programs:
Go to the "Control Panel" > "Programs and Features" menu to find the Office application, right-click the application, click "Change" > "Yes" > "Online Repair" > "Repair" button, and the Office product will automatically repair itself while connected to the Internet. After the repair is successful, please restart your computer and test again.

Registry reset office
(Before resetting, please make sure all your Office files have been backed up and saved. If you use OneNote and Outlook, you need to make sure that your notes and emails are backed up to avoid file loss. At the same time, resetting will put your Office program in its initial form. The personalized settings you set need to be saved first)
After resetting, you need to log in to Office again with your Microsoft account.
Press Windows + R, enter: regedit in the run box that opens, and press Enter.
Locate the following key value and rename the Office folder (right-click it and select Rename, such as renaming Office to Officeold)
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office
Then reopen the file to try the effect.
Disclaimer: Generally, modifying registry subkeys or work group is intended for advanced users, administrators, and IT Professionals.
