Mouse Scrolling Issue in Microsoft Application

Hi Team,

I am experiencing an issue with mouse scrolling, as it does not work in any Microsoft Office applications (ex - outlook & excel). However, scrolling works fine in browsers like Chrome and Edge.

I have tried connecting a different mouse, but the issue persists.

System: Windows 10
Drivers: All drivers are updated.

Any assistance in resolving this issue would be appreciated.

Thank you!

    Dear Gaurav Singh Jadon (JAI),

    Thanks for visiting Microsoft Community.  I am happy to help you.

    I understand that your mouse doesn't work in Office applications, but works fine in browsers like Chrome and Edge, and that you've replaced it with a different mouse and the problem persists.

    What version of Office do you have? You can click on File in the top left corner, select Account, and your Office product information can be displayed under Product Information on the right. If it's convenient for you, can you take a screenshot and share it with me? Or if you encountered an error message, can you take a screenshot of the error message and share it with me?

    Try to roll back the Office version and see how it works. (The first reply may not solve the problem, but it may help us to check whether it is due to the Office version).

    Rollback Office version

    1, close all Office software, in the "Start Menu" in the search "Command Prompt" (or "cmd"), and the right mouse button click and select "Run as administrator";

    2, in the command prompt enter the following code:

    cd %programfiles% \Common Files\microsoft shared\ClickToRun

    Enter;

    3, and then enter

    Officec2rclient.exe /update user updatetoversion=16.0.17531.20120

    Then, open an Office item (Word, PowerPoint, etc.), click Account, and select Turn off Office updates in the Updates option under Product Information.

    Best regards
