Rule based on hours

Hi, I'm looking to create a rule that will highlight a row based on hours. I have things that need to be completed within 5-6 hours of being entered onto the spread sheet. Column "G" row "4" contains a time stamp that is automatically entered once info in column "A" row "4" is entered. Can someone assist me with this, I've seen a lot of different things online and so far none of them have been helpful.

    Dear joshua ayala1

    Thank you for your reply.

Let me confirm with you, your requirement is that after G4 generates the time, it should not be highlighted until the 5th and 6th hours, and then highlighted?

This is to confirm whether your requirement is about dynamic time or static time. If dynamic time is required, it cannot be directly implemented using rules or formulas, and VBA and other codes will be involved.

Therefore, I still need to confirm this aspect with you.

I look forward to your reply.

There are loads on this log that I need to dispatched no later then 10AM. These are very important and need to stand out if they are not dispatched between 5AM and 10AM. Is there a rule that will automatically highlight the rows with 726 using Column "G"?

Column "F" is where I put the "to" location and the one I'm referring to is 726.

Column "G" is where the date and time stamp is automatically entered once Column "A" has been filled in.

    Dear joshua ayala1

Thanks for raising your concerns in Microsoft Community.

We understand that you want to create a time rule in Excel.

Based on your description, I don't quite understand your needs, so I need to confirm some information with you:

    • Do you mean that after A4 enters the content, G4 will generate the entered time?
    • Will other rows also be automatically timestamped successfully? For example, G5, G6, etc.
    • Do you want to highlight the row within 5-6 hours after the first timestamp is generated?
    • Or does it mean that G4 will automatically highlight the next 5-6 hours?

If possible, please reply to share more specific information with us, and we will test feasible solutions based on your needs.

Thank you for your understanding, I look forward to hearing from you.

    Best Regards,
