I'm using Word for mac 16.43 on Mac OS 10.13 (yeah i know it's old!).
I've got a big document with a few hundred footnotes. Just changed them all to endnotes but now when I want to insert a new footnote/endnote, it starts at 1 when it should be 250 or something.
In the footnotes box, the numbering is set to continuous and to apply to the whole document.
Help please.

If you've converted the Footnotes to Endnotes it's to be expected that the numbering for any new Footnotes you insert will start over at 1 — Footnotes & Endnotes are numbered independently.
