Billing

I need to speak with an actual human in billing to stop unauthorised payments. How do I do this?

I cannot find a link to start a chat and there is no obvious phone number. Even when I ring the 1800, the robot just keeps telling me 'thank you for contacting Microsoft. Goodbye'. I have wasted over 30mins trying to resolve this.

    Hello. Joy Bryant

Thank you for posting in the Microsoft Community.

I understand that you were inadvertently charged for a subscription, which requires a refund, and I understand your need.

Have you subscribed to or tried Microsoft 365 before? If you were inadvertently charged for a Microsoft 365 subscription and you need to cancel it, we understand that this may be confusing for you. This may be caused by a pre-defined auto-renewal.
For more details, please refer to this article - <Turn recurring billing on or off for a Microsoft subscription - Microsoft Support>.

I understand your need for a refund. However, due to the privacy issues related to your account, subscription, etc., it is not appropriate to disclose such issues in the Microsoft community, nor can we process refunds or changes to your account. Therefore, I will direct you to Microsoft Support, which specializes in this issue, in a separate window, where more specialized technical support will be available to assist you in resolving your refund issue.

If you are not able to get enough help through Microsoft's regular self-help methods (e.g. in terms of account access), you can try switching networks or creating a new Microsoft account to access the online chat service, providing the relevant account and proof of identity, such as an e-mail address/bank card number information/address details within the account etc.

Below are the steps to contact Microsoft Support:

    1. Visit this website: Contact - Microsoft Support.
    2. Type your question in the search box. For example, Refund.
    3. Now, click on “Get Help” and then select “Contact Support” below.

    1. Go to the “Products and Services” tab and select the “Microsoft 365 and Office” category or “Other Products”.
    2. On the Category tab, select Manage my subscription or another alternative.
    3. Go to Confirmation.

    1. You can now select the option to chat with a support agent on your web browser.

Please note: The Chat support team is only available at certain times, so if the last window shows that you are unavailable, try opening it again the next day.

Of course, if you prefer phone support, you can also contact Microsoft Chat Support to find out if phone support is available in your current country region and to get a phone support number.

Additionally, this link contains global customer service support numbers for business users where you can also try to find your country and region to try to successfully contact and resolve your issue. For more information, please refer to: Global Customer Service phone numbers - Microsoft Support.

Thank you for your understanding and patience. We hope that your issue has been successfully resolved. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

    Best regards
