My OneNote notebooks are in my personal OneDrive. I created a new notebook and moved a large section from one of the preexisting notebooks to the new notebook. It couldn't finish syncing and the message was "We couldn't sync your notes because the server is busy. We'll try again later. (Error code: 0xE0001474 48zfy)". I then moved the large section back to another pre-existing notebook, and after hours it still can't sync. I have plenty of space in my OneDrive (I have MS 365) and plenty of space on my local SDD. Please advise!

A general warning:
Never use move, use copy + delete (on success).
OneNote tends to lose moved sections....

Thomas: This afternoon I opened OneNote 365 (not web) and after some minutes the notebook that wasn't syncing was synced! I opened OneNote 365 on my laptop, and again after a few minutes, all the notebooks were synced! I looked through the Section I moved yesterday that caused the delay in syncing, and I think the section is as it was before. Nothing lost. It's a large section, so I'll never be sure. But I see original and recent entries, and they all appear fine.
I also verified they are the same on OneNote Web.
I still want to move the Section I moved yesterday (18 August) that caused my concern to a new notebook, also on OneDrive. Do you think I can do that? Any hints about how I should do this- I moved the Section using OneNote yesterday. I guess that's how you do it!
Thanks for your advice!
Elliot
Hi EClark,
Welcome to Microsoft Community. Please go to OneNote Web and see if your notes are still there. If they are intact, you can export them to local. Then try deleting those in OneDrive and reuploading them.
