    Dear Sinan Güneş,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

We understand that you have encountered problems with OneDrive synchronization and use after updating the system.

According to your description, your OneDrive desktop application was deleted after the update, causing your files to be messed up. You need to avoid syncing information between the two computer desktops. We need to explain to you:

Your desktop application was deleted. We are worried that this is because the system detection disconnected the desktop or other folder detection during the update process, causing the mobile information to affect your desktop program.

But regarding the synchronization of OneDrive and the synchronization of information between multiple computers, need to explain to you:

OneDrive is mainly to help you access and synchronize your files in real time across multiple devices, making it easier for you to work and edit information. However, if you turn on the synchronization of desktop, documents, or other folders in the OneDrive program on your device, all files will be synchronized between your computers.

If you need to back up only your files but not automatically synchronize the desktop and other folder information, you can try to operate on two computers separately:

Go to the OneDrive program settings - Sync and backup - Manage backup - to help you confirm and enable the corresponding folder option information.

When you stop backing up folders, there will be a folder called "Folder Shortcut (OneDrive)" in the folder on your computer. If you do not copy your folders to other places, your file information may be affected.

Back up your folders with OneDrive - Microsoft Support

After deselecting, you will need to manually copy or move the files to the OneDrive program. After moving, you can also view them in the OneDrive program on another device. However, your desktop or other file information will not be synchronized automatically.

You can try to see if this operation can help you confirm the backup and synchronization information of OneDrive.

    Best regards
