I am a transfer student using Onenote. I was using school (1) email on onenote even after transferring; today I got locked out of my account. While I can use school (2) email for onenote I do not have access to all my notes in my one-note account from school (1). how can I transfer all my notes without being able to sign in?

    Hi Edon,

In OneNote for Mac application, there has no export notebook as package feature which will allow you import them into your new account. But currently even if you find a Windows PC, it will not let you login the previous account to export the notebooks.

Due to the disconnected account, it is unable to use Share feature or Sync on the previous notebooks so now, since the export them as PDF can't be editable, the only way you can do is to manually copy them to new notebooks.

Try if you can login the new account from OneNote>File>Open Notebook...>Manage Storage Accounts and login new school account.

And make sure the previous notebook and new notebook will both appear under Notebooks tab.

Use the Copy Section to ... feature to manually copy all sections one by one to your new notebook.

This can be time-consuming if you have lots of notes, but this is currently the only way you can back up your important notes.

Let me know if you meet any difficulties.

    Best Regards,

    Mia

I am on a Mac. I currently can see the old OneNote documents and folders however, I am not signed in so it will not allow me to share with another email address. I can see all my work, but nothing will upload, and it will not allow me to share it. I can export it, however, will only export as a PDF. Is there anyway I can move stuff over when I no longer have access to the email, but have the OneNote open? I just lost access today to my old school email.

    Hi Edon,

To transfer notebooks from School(1) account to School(2) account, it requires to export the notebook packages from old account and then import to the new account, with OneNote application on Windows.
