Microsoft 365 A3 (Education Faculty and Student)

Hi Everyone,

I have a question about Microsoft 365 A3. Based on what I found under Purchase services, we can install and activate Windows 10 using Microsoft 365 A3 licenses, but the Reseller is not sure, and they said that we need to buy extra licenses to activate Windows 10. So, can you please help me specify this information? In case we can activate Windows 10, then which version of Windows can we install?

    The Microsoft 365 A3 license includes user access rights that entitle you to access Windows 10 Pro. This means you can activate Windows 10 Pro at no additional cost if you have the Microsoft 365 A3 license. You can refer to this article: Subscription Activation for Education.

    When you log in to Windows 10 Pro with your Azure Active Directory (AAD) credentials, the Windows client sends a request to the Microsoft Licensing server. The server checks if the license requirements are met and, if so, returns a WindowsPolicyLease, which activates the Windows 10 Pro license.

    Ensure that your AAD user has the necessary service plan assigned and that your tenant has a record of the entitlement. This is crucial for the activation process to be successful.
