New to Loop

My team (5 people) is trying out Loop. We're having some issues we're not sure how to combat. We have a shared workspace with 2 pages, currently: A Personal Task list for one team member and a Team/Shared task list. The shared page was created first. We had a shared task list that we converted to a component and shared in Teams but I did... something... and ended up deleting all the tasks in a way that a previous version wasn't recoverable. So I tried again. We've got a new shared task list that was working well until...

A team member wanted to create a personal list and so he copied the shared list and posted it into a new page workspace intended for his own task list. Then, he deleted the tasks of others from his copy of the shared list and added some new things. This was partially copied onto the original/team version. When we realized what happened, he deleted his copy of the list - changes and all - and created a WHOLE NEW LIST. That one seems to work fine. But the original shared list, even though I've reverted it back to the old/best version, keeps updating itself to the version he made but then deleted. There an error that says: Other people's changes to this task list haven't yet been synched with Planner and To Do.

What do we do to fix this. It seems like a useful app but it's very hard to use since it cross-pollinates across the Microsoft environment. Mistakes like this seem to persist and are proving difficult to fix.

Another problem from the original shared task list that I broke - the tasks apparently still live somewhere, despite deleting the list as people still get reminder emails each day about the tasks assigned to them. We started this last Thursday and somehow have a nearly unusable mess already...

Is there a way to just delete everything we've tried so far, get the tentacles off the personal planners and to-do lists it's cross-pollinated to, and try again after more education?
