    Hi JOnathan,

I tried that and kept receiving error message "There was a problem unlocking your Personal Vault....." I signed in, signed out and in again and still the same error message. I tried doing it in IE, Firefox or Chrome, still no luck. Of course, I have 365 subscription. I am able to log in to onedrive.com and that's it.

    Pls help!

Have you try Restoring your OneDrive? This is a feature only available to Microsoft 365 subscriber.

    Hi Jonathan,

I have been editing the file on my PC. Everyday, when I open the file the data had been up to date, current, or recent until yesterday. It affects different files that I work on everyday- payroll, expenses, billing, sales, transaction, and data of all my clients. They're all missing from 1-2 months of work depending on the files.

I logged in to Onedrive.live.com and said the files were last modified back in August or July or April even though these files have been edited and saved everyday.

Also I right click on those files and viewed its version history and it shows the date modified seemed recent but when I opened those files the contents are old data from last data saved 1-2 months ago.

I have been a subscriber for a long time and this is the first time it happened.

All the data that I added EVERYDAY for over a month or so are missing. How can I restore those data or retrieve them to it's recent version?

    Hi MJ Cabrera,

    Thanks for visiting Microsoft Community.

Are you editing the file in Excel on your PC or in Excel from a web browser? If you are on your PC, you can search for the file on onedrive.live.com to check its save status. This site records the most recent data uploaded to the OneDrive server.

Editing in Excel on the web will directly make real-time changes to the file on OneDrive, so the data there is usually the latest. You can right-click on the file in the OneDrive web interface to view its version history.

I hope this clarifies the current situation.

    Best Regards,
