.I am stilll using Office 2007. I have it on 5 Win10 PC's. trust centre settings are the same on all machines. On just one machine I get this message when I try to include any legacy controls, (including active-x). I have tried reinstalling Office. I ahve tried reinstalling the Office file validation tool. I have tried changing trust centre settings. nothing works. Help?!

On the problem machine, also try starting Word in safe mode and see if that makes a difference.

Open Office apps in safe mode on a Windows PC - Microsoft Office

This is a diagnostic step, not a way to regularly use Word.

Just in case, check if there is something special about the documents that are being edited on the PC where the ActiveX controls fail to insert.
