Just wondering if there is the ability to add customized backgrounds when you are in Presenter Mode and you hit the customize feature button -

    @Tuxx ,

It has no such feature now.

I created this feature request feature for you. You can vote for it here and add more comments.

Microsoft will always focus on customer’s feedback and experience. Some new features would be added to the services based on customers' feedback in the future, and your good ideas will be very helpful for them to improve the service.

Your time, understanding and cooperation will be highly appreciated.

    Hello,

interestingly there is a way (a tweak) how to be able to use your own customized background in teams presenter mode already right now.
I am using Microsoft Teams Version 1.5.00.21668 (64-Bit).

Unfortunately this (as it is a tweak) only works for the currently active session you are in. But it works as long as you are in that session. This massively improves the professional appearance and I hope Microsoft soon makes it customizable feature for all.

If you are interested, I can post a short description here (or somewhere else).

    Regards, Boris

Hello all, that took a while! Sorry for the delay.

    Here is the workaround:

Microsoft Teams stores the graphics for the backgrounds inside this directory: c:\users<enter_your_windows_your_user_name>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Teams\Backgrounds

You - at least to my knowledge today - cannot change background images for the presentation mode by the app itself.

When you start to share content and select "add background", Teams creates the background file you have selected as a jpg image in this directory. e.g. aplBackground_013.jpg

    Now the trick:

    • Go into the directory c:\users<enter_your_windows_your_user_name>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Teams\Backgrounds
    • Change view in Teams while you a sharing content to full screen (so that there is no background shown).
    • NOW you can overwrite the Background image file with jpg you like (and keep the name, in my example: aplBackground_013.jpg).
    • When you then switch to presenter modes with backgrounds - Voila! - you'll see you customized background appear like magic.

This worked today with Microsoft Teams unter Win10 (You have Microsoft Teams Version 1.5.00.33362 (64-bit). It was last updated on 13.12.2022.)

The background is active as long as the Teams session is running and as long as you don't switch backgrounds.

    Any questions?

    Regards, Boris
