Excel bug

The moment I scroll, the rows and columns suddenly disappear, and for it to return I have to scroll again - that's how it comes and goes. If I highlight a line it doesn't highlight it, unless I highlight another line, then go back to that one.

    Thank you for posting in the Microsoft Community.

    I understand that you are experiencing problems with Excel.

    In order to help you better, I need to check with you for more information:

    1. What Office license are you currently using? Is it Microsoft 365 or Office Home Student 2021 or something else? Please click File->Account in Excel and share with us the screenshot of one page of product information on the right side.
    2. May I ask if the problem you mentioned appears in all Excel files? Or just in a single file?

    Please try the following steps before getting your exact response:

    1*.*Cancel the add-in

    Click File - Options - Add-ins in the upper left corner of the document - change the place of management to COM add-ins, then select “Go To”, uncheck all add-ins, click OK, restart the Excel document and check whether the problem is solved. whether the problem is solved.

    2.Delete the Excel template:

    Make sure there are no files in the following folders:

          1) Locate to C:\Users\User Name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Excel\XLSTART, press Enter to see if the file exists, if it does, please cut to the desktop, if not, close it;
    (You need to view in File Explorer - View - Show in the checkbox “hidden items to see the AppData folder)

          2)Locate to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\root\Office16\XLSTART or C:\Program Files(x86)\Microsoft Office\root\Office16\XLSTART to see if the file exists, if so, again, please cut to the desktop. , likewise please cut to the desktop, if not, close;

    3.Registry reset office:

    Close all office applications.

    Press Windows + R , in the run box that opens type: regedit and press enter.

    Locate the following key value and rename the Office folder (right-click on it and select Rename, e.g. rename Office to Officeold)

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office
    

    Then re-open the Excel document to check whether the problem is solved.
