MS Word @mentions

Hi

I use the comment function in MS word very often. In my former job (big corporate) I used the @mentions function.

Now I have my own business 365 account. When I try to creatie a comment in MS word and want to appoint this comment by using @ it is showing only my name/account.

What / which settings should be changed to have access over all my contacts (in my outlook address book) so I can appoint to each of them?

Looking forward to your feedback

regards Roy

    Hi Roy VL,

Greetings. Thank you for posting the thread to our community.

I understand your concern, it seems when you using the mention function in your Word app, your contacts aren’t showed up.

After my research, here is the related support article as reference for you: User isn't found when using @mentions - Microsoft 365 Apps | Microsoft Learn. I suggest you can try the methods (You need the admin permission to perform the steps in the article) in the support article and check whether the issue persists or not.

Meanwhile, since our category is mainly focus on the general and build-in features queries of Microsoft Word, and fixing this issue is related to PowerShell usage as well. Due to this situation, if you have further questions or the issue persists after trying the methods above, I sincerely recommend you post the question in: PowerShell - Microsoft Q&A. It is the specific channel handling this kind queries, members and experts are professional and will assist you further.

Since this scenario is also related to multiple topics, I also suggest when you post the question, you can add multiple tags in your question as to expand the range of your query to get a much more correct answer:

Please accept my apologies for redirecting you to different community as the members in the category posted focus on the users with out-of-the-box concerns on Microsoft 365, and have limited knowledge and resources on the PowerShell, so to get the fast and better assistance, we have redirected you in the correct path.

Appreciate for your patience and understanding.

Hope you having a nice day and wish you a brilliant year ahead as well😊.

    Sincerely,
