To add a file, you have to use the + Create New button. Stupid, confusing, dumb. Loop will only display the first few characters of the file names, so there is no way to see a list of files if your naming convention starts with the same letters. You can sort by hierarchy or activity, not alphabetically or by size or type...Stupid, confusing, dumb. This is another Microsoft product that no real business user ever tried before it was released, and not one real business user would ever try again.

I have the same exact issue. The answer provided does not address the question. The desire is to be able to embed the table into Loop so you can view the table from loop without having to click on the link itself. We all know how to insert the file, but here we are asking how to insert the actual table so it can be viewed without the additional click of opening up the physical document. Almost like a preview.

Keep in mind, this means that for every file, you have to leave Loop, find the file in Explorer, then right-click and copy the link to the file, then return to Loop and paste that copied link. Not exactly an efficient workflow.

    Dear respected Nicole Hrinco,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

As per your description, "I have been able to copy the link to an excel file but that is it." may I know where the Excel file stored? such as OneDrive/SharePoint online location or Mac OS local location?

Based on my test, when I copy the Excel file from OneDrive/SharePoint online location via select the Excel file and click on "Copy link" button and open Microsoft Loop online and click on page in a workspace and just past as normal using keyboard shortcut key. When I Paste that link into Loop page and it will insert Excel file.

When others user opens a shared loop workspace and click on Excel file, they will see the update change and work on real time.
