New Onedrive embed generated code does not include, embed, AuthKey or Resid info

I am trying to embed a small excel spreadsheet into a Wordpress.com page. I have done this for quite a few years without a problem but this year it has not worked.

Something has changed in the embed generated code from 12 months ago.

I change the excel spreadsheet every year and last years code looked like this:

[office src="https://onedrive.live.com/embed?resid=BF1AED9EFA45B05E%2116053&authkey=%21AJ7RFnwjwpJwfsA&em=2&wdAllowInteractivity=False&ActiveCell='Sheet1'!A1&Item='Sheet1'!A1%3AV65&wdDownloadButton=True&wdInConfigurator=True&wdInConfigurator=True" width="700" height="750"]

This year the code looks like this:

<iframe src="https://1drv.ms/x/c/bf1aed9efa45b05e/IQQo2YXC6Ll7QpoPowKL4RXJAYRvpvyQey2fz_kcoyWi6q8" width="402" height="346" frameborder="0" scrolling="no"></iframe>

If Wordpress struggles with iframes, I can understand why last years code worked by how do I now generate a similar code in Onedrive

I've tried a differnet browser, I've clicked on "Customise how this workbook will appear to others" altered sharing settings but nothing works.

From my observations the embed?, authkey and resid= are all missing from the new code and I'm sure thats the problem.

Can anyone shed any light on this problem?

I'm having a similar problem when trying to use Excel files in Personal OneDrive as data sources in Power BI. Two days ago, I successfully used 'Embed' -> 'Generate' in online OneDrive to get the resid and authkey I needed when getting data from the web. I used it in Power BI and it worked. Today it stopped working, so I went back into OneDrive to get another because I assumed it's either dynamic or had expired (another problem, but let's leave that one alone for now). This time there was no 'Generate' button and whilst the URL I'd used before, which I'd got by clicking the 'Information about this workbook' button after generating, had the same resid as before, there was no authkey. The URL included content like &migratedtospo=true&redeem=XXXXXX, which I'm fairly certain wasn't there two days ago.

    Many thanks for your suggestion.

I tried this and unfortunately it didn't solve my problem.

In fact what happened was that I added your suggested code to the page and then when I tried to save it, it immediately removed it from the html code on the page !. (This is on a Wordpress.com page)

I'm no expert but I still thing the problem lies with the fact that there is no Embed, AuthKey or resid in the code produced.

I see someone else is having the exact same problem !

In the iframe code generated in Customise how this workbook will appear to others

Try putting the link between src=" and the ? as follows

src="https://1drv.ms/x/c/bf1aed9efa45b05e/IQQo2YXC6Ll7QpoPowKL4RXJAYRvpvyQey2fz_kcoyWi6q8?bla bla whatever follows till last "
