Mail Flow issue with Exchange Server installed on Azure VM

Hello,

I am trying to POC Hybrid Exchange 2019 VM in Azure VNET connecting to office 365, however since Port 25 is blocked by azure I am unable to effectively route emails between Exchange 2019 and Office 365 as hybrid configuration wizard uses Port 25 for outbound emails to office 365 by default. for emails to internet, I am using SendGrid as a smart host with Port 587. but due to port 25 being blocked I am unable to use Exchange 2019 as a hybrid Server for mail flow as this gets configured by hybrid configuration by design.

I specifically brought a dev support subscription just to get this enabled on my subscription where they just gave me a generic reply. I wonder if anyone can help me enable port 25 on the Vnet (If Azure support is watching this). and has anyone come across this same issue. how are we regular professionals and MCTs who help and support large enterprises to deliver complex solutions do a POC for one of the most used feature of Microsoft cloud and O365?

Please see the following old reference here where this was addressed

    Hello @Rana Banerjee .

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Platform. Thank you for reaching out & hope you are doing well.

As outlined in this article, Enterprise Agreement subscriptions do not have a port 25 block and other subscriptions such as pay-as-you-go, CSP, MPN, BizSpark Plus & Azure sponsorship subscriptions can have the port 25 block removed with support request. However, requests to remove port 25 block restrictions won't be granted for MSDN, Azure Pass, Azure in Open, Education, Azure for Students, Visual Studio, and Free Trial subscriptions.

I'm not really sure under which category the dev support subscription comes in but if it is under the allowed category, we will try and help you get a one-time free technical support to remove the block.

If your subscription falls under the restricted category and SendGrid service is not helping achieve your requirement, then you may need to consider changing your subscription type.

Kindly let us know if the above helps or you need further assistance on this issue.
