Timezone formatting problems

Hi all,

When typing ctrl + shift+ ; for a timestamp, it comes up with 01/01/1900. My computer timezone is correctly set to London GMT, but is not synching with Excel. Any guesses?

Thank you.

    Hi Jake_201,

    Thanks for visiting Microsoft Community.

In Excel, Ctrl + Shift + ; inserts the time in 24-hour format (the date is defaulted to January 1, 1900). While Ctrl + ; inserts the current date (the time is defaulted to 0:00).

If you need to obtain both, you can use these two shortcuts in sequence within a single cell, or you can use the NOW function like =NOW().

Hope this helps you confirm the situation.

    Best Regards,
