we have calculated our total storage as follows:

  • Business Basic Licenses:
  • Apps for Business Licenses:
  • Base Storage: 1 TB (default)

Total Expected Storage: 1 TB + 1,10 GB + 10 GB = 1.011TB

Microsoft 365 Apps for Business licenses, your total SharePoint storage would be:

  • Base Storage: 1 TB
  • User Storage: 0 TB (since Apps for Business does not include additional storage per user)

Thus, your total SharePoint storage should be 1 TB (base storage) + 0 TB (user storage) = 1 TB.

    Based on your calculation, you expected a total SharePoint storage of 2.67 TB, but your actual total storage appears to be 1 TB due to Microsoft 365 Apps for Business licenses not contributing additional storage. Here’s a breakdown of SharePoint storage allocation for your understanding:

    1. Base Storage: Every organization gets 1 TB of base storage.
    2. Microsoft 365 Business Basic each user adds 10 GB to SharePoint storage. ***Please note that Microsoft 365 Apps for Business does not provide additional SharePoint storage.***Your total SharePoint storage should be **( 1TB+1.18TB)***or 2.18 TB, not 2.67 TB.

    *1TB=1024GB, therefore 1210GB/1024GB=1.81TB

    If you require additional storage beyond the allocated amount, you can purchase additional storage SharePoint storage via the Microsoft 365 Admin Center. To ger more details please visit: Manage SharePoint Storage Limits.

    Microsoft 365 Apps for Business provides each user with 1 TB of OneDrive cloud storage but does not include SharePoint Online services or additional SharePoint storage. Please visit Microsoft 365 Apps for business to see the available cloud storage for Microsoft 365 apps for Business.
