inserting a new task. getting a message that there is a conflict from a schedule version created 4 months ago that doesn't appear to be linked. Hit ok and the new task automatically adds a predecessor. following tasks show start dates of NA. try it in a different cell and it works fine.

    Jim Cleghorn,

Sorry but not quite enough information. You mention something about not being linked. What exactly does that mean (linked as in master/subproject, task dependency, or what)? And I'm confused when you say the start dates show as "NA". Neither the Start nor Finish fields in Project (desktop) will ever show an "NA" so what fields are you referring to?

What exacly are you trying to do? A screen shot would be helpful.

    John
