Microsoft Project Question

I've been trying to get tooled up and increase my skills using the MS PROJECT program.

We seem to be having an issue,

I've added on the: Budget, Budget Baseline Cost, and Fixed or Actual Cost columns.

But I can't seem to be able to enter any of my data into these columns I'm locked out.

It would be really good to be able to add some Cost variance and contract comparisoninfo to my files.

I seem to be locked out of the data entry of these required columns.

Does anyone know how to fix this software issue?

Is anyone able to tell me how to do it, so I can do it?

    Dear Nicholas Bombardieri,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

We understand that you are trying to edit Budget, Budget Baseline Cost, and Fixed or Actual Cost fields added in Project Online desktop app.

As per the test on our side, it seems by design that we can only enter in Cost and Fixed Cost field as shown below, and other columns such as Actual Cost are set to be calculated by default.

For your reference: Baseline Budget Cost fields - Microsoft Support

Budget (resource field) - Microsoft Support

Actual Cost fields - Microsoft Support

We hope the above can help. If the understanding above is not consistent with yours, please feel free to post back and point that.

Your understanding and patience will be highly appreciated. We hope that you are keeping safe and well!

    Sincerely,

    Rhoda | Microsoft Community Moderator
