When I select a shape in Visio and move it, the shape repositions itself to lower part of the page. In some instance, it creates a new page. I have turned off Snap and Glue Settings. This is in the Visio Desktop application. I have tried this on multiple different files, so the file is not corrupt

    Dear Michael Hoffman3,

Thank you for your response. I understand that this can be really frustrating. May I know if you are experiencing the same behavior when manually editing as I mentioned?

Additionally, I would like to clarify one more thing regarding your concern. If you add or insert another share, does the same issue occur?

However, would you mind to capturing small screen recording of this whole scenario and share with me here in private message so that it can help me to further consult with my team members and I will further guide you accordingly.

I am asking this kind of information here to protect user's privacy on the public community.

You can view your private messages by going to the Question Info section and clicking the Private Message icon shown below.

Thank you for your understanding. Your cooperation and contributions are greatly appreciated.

    Kind Regards,

    Nahid Sultan

    Hi Nahid,

    1. I tried Visio in Safe Mode and got the same issue
    2. I uninstalled and reinstalled Visio this morning prior to posting this message. I also just tried an Online Repair as well. I am getting the same issue.
    3. I have attached a screen shot (you can see the rectangle is down to the left) of my issue and the product information

    Dear Michael Hoffman3,

    Good day to you!

I hope you are doing well. Thanks for reaching out to our Microsoft Community Forum. We will be happy to help you.

I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing an issue with Visio. Based on your description, I would like to ask a few questions regarding your concern.

This will help me narrow down the issue and provide further guidance.

    1. Have you tried opening Visio in Safe Mode? If not, you can try the following steps:
      • Close the Visio application if it is already open.
      • Hold Ctrl and click on the Visio application to open it in Safe Mode.
    2. Have you attempted to repair the Visio application? Here is Microsoft's official article for your reference: Repair an Office application - Microsoft Support
    3. Could you please share a screenshot of your Visio application version? You can find this information by following these steps:
      • Open Visio.
      • Click on File > Account > Product Information.

We need to first clarify the information before we can determine the subsequent troubleshooting plan, so we are sorry that we cannot directly provide a solution.

I am looking forward to your response for further assistance.

Thank you for your understanding. Your cooperation and contributions are greatly appreciated.

    Kind Regards,

    Nahid Sultan
