Excel "All Scripts" loading forever

Hi,
I cannot access my Excel scripts. Wherever I click (All Scripts/Recent/directly on each individual scripts) I just have an infinitely loading screen.
My scripts are hosted on Onedrive but if I try to put them on Sharepoint I have the same issue. (Also in this case there is two button with missing text that are not doing anything visible except closing the dialog windows...)

I would love to attach some screenshots but it seems to be broken as well when I upload them by drag&drop or upload window. PNG is maybe a too niche format ?

Thank you in advance,

    Dear Maxew,

Good day! Thank you for contacting the Microsoft Community. We are here to assist you

I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with your Excel scripts However, it depends on several factors. For more tailored solutions or suggestion we need more information.

    1. What is the version of mac and Office application are you using?
    2. May I know if all the files have same issue or this particular file? And where is the file stored?
    3. Could you please upload screenshot of the error by taking reference of below picture?

Meanwhile can you try to Restart OneDrive because sometimes, restarting OneDrive can resolve syncing issues. You can click the OneDrive icon in the menu bar and select Quit OneDrive. Use Spotlight to search for OneDrive and reopen it

And Clear Office Cache Clearing the cache can help if there are corrupted files. By opening Finder and navigate to ~/Library/Containers/com.microsoft.Excel/Data/Library/Caches and delete the contents of this folder.

Regarding the issue with uploading screenshots, PNG is a common format and should work. If you're still having trouble, you might want to try converting the images to a different format like JPEG and see if that helps.

Please accept my apologies for asking more information, as the moderators in this community have limited resources and permission to verify the backend information and to get the quick and better assistance, we requested for this.

I hope you are staying safe and well! Have a great day and take care! 😊

    Hi,

    1. macOS version: 14.5 (23F79)
Excel desktop version: Version 16.87 (24071426) => The issue is exactly the same with the browser version of excel.
    2. All the scripts have the same issues, as I said they are stored in my OneDrive. But when copied to Sharepoint the issue is exactly the same.
    3. So now image upload is working, great. There is no error shown, just an infinite loading and no script showing. If I locate the script file and try to launch it it also open this panel and loop forever. No error code anywhere.https://learn-attachment.microsoft.com/api/attachments/248c3a4a-396e-494f-89c4-430de41c3ec3?platform=QnA"https://learn-attachment.microsoft.com/api/attachments/248c3a4a-396e-494f-89c4-430de41c3ec3?platform=QnA" title="filestore.community.support.microsoft.com" rel="ugc nofollow">

Do any of the script names involve forbidden characters?

There are spaces in some of the scripts names. If I rename them with no space the problem is still here.

These scripts use to work, even with spaces in the script name, and are currently working on my colleagues computers with the same setup (Mac and either browser or desktop excel).

I'm leaning toward a network issue since the experience is the same within desktop app and web browser. My hunch is there is something on your Mac interfering with the connection. Do you use anything that would be disruptive such as malware protection or a VPN?

You might make a new Mac OS user account in system settings and test in that account.
