How do you create a loop workspace within a sharepoint/microsoft team?

Hi,

I want to create a loop workspace for my team. This needs to be hosted on the team sharepoint, not within my onedrive.

How do I create a loop workspace where all the .loop files are on the sharepoint rather than within my onedrive. The permissions need to be inherited, any components created within it need to have inherited permissions etc.

At the moment loop isn't useable for my team or collaborative unless we can solve this.

Many thanks,

Ellie

    Hi Eleanor LongNHSE,

Greetings. Thank you for posting the thread to our community.

Based on your description, it seems you want to create a Loop workspace and the corresponding .loop files are stored in the Teams channel connected SharePoint site.

As far as I know and after my test, generally, only the Loop component/workspace created in Teams channel meeting and Teams channel post will be stored in the corresponding SharePoint site. Here is the related support article and my test result as reference for you, you can review the following support articles to get more detailed info:

Overview of Loop workspaces storage and permissions | Microsoft Learn, Send a Loop component in a channel - Microsoft Support.

If you have further questions or my explanation above isn’t consistent with your requirement, Please be free to contact me and point it out. I’m glad to help you further.

Hope you having a nice day and really much warm regards to you as well! 😊

    Sincerely,

    Thank you Harry,

That helps with creating Loop components in Teams. The solution that I think it need is in the second column in this table "Loop content stored in SharePoint Embedded" with the "loop content originally created in" Loop App. I can't see a way that within Loop I could ensure that the content was embedded in a SharePoint site, it is within my personal folders.

I'm struggling with how to achieve the collaborative nature of a Loop workspace without the sharepoint/Teams integration! I cant add a Loop workspace to the team in Teams even!

(I know you're not a developer and this absolutely isn't your fault, but it is frustrating!)
