How to change langague in Excel Online?

Well, I've struggled with this problem and the solution was to go into OneDrive page. Once there in the top right corner your will find the wheel bar (Settings) where you can change the language. However there is a tricky part coming. If you by any chance press OK on the window where it says that it will take you to the previous page it will not only bring you back but will revert the language. So on the last panel (photo) where it asks you if you want to go to the previous page it actually asks you if you want to go to previous SETTINGS meaning previous language so click CLOSE instead (the X button).

What a counter intuitive way to solve that problem.

So I posted this as an question since the answering to another thread with this same problem was locked, sorry Swedish language guy that it did not work for you but also thanks to an answer within your post I was able to go into OneDrive page and change the setting there.

    Hi, KrzysiekNC

    Welcome to the Microsoft community.

It sounds like you had quite an adventure figuring out how to change the language in Excel Online. Thanks for sharing your solution. Here's a step-by-step summary for anyone else facing the same issue:

    1. Go to OneDrive: Open your OneDrive page.
    2. Access Settings: Click on the gear icon (Settings) in the top right corner.
    3. Change Language: Find the language settings and select your desired language.
    4. Avoid Reverting: When a window pops up asking if you want to go to the previous page, do not click OK. Instead, click the X (Close) button to avoid reverting to the previous language settings.

It is indeed a bit counterintuitive, but your detailed explanation should help others avoid the same pitfalls. If you have any other tips or need further assistance, feel free to ask!

Additionally, you can mark this reply with a YES, which will increase the weight of this thread. This will help other users with the same problem to more accurately locate this thread and learn more about the problem.

    Sincerely,
