Hi, have tried dialing in and reaching to the customer support but with no avail to find any support hotline or email support for Microsoft Silverlight. Would like to check with Microsoft Silverlight coming to EOS next year, it is stated on the site that installers will not be made available anymore. Can I check for SDK Silverlight and Silverlight tools, will all these be removed as well?
Additionally, if the installers are not available, can we still use an installer that we are having to do installations for new PCs?
Kindly help to redirect and do not remove my question if this is not the right forum, was advised by one of the support hotline to post it here instead.
@Anonymous , thanks for getting back, I have came across the link but as it doesnt address some of the queries that I am having:
1) Can I check for SDK Silverlight and Silverlight development tools installers, will all these be removed as well?
2) If we retain the existing old installers, can we still use these installers to install on a new windows server/machine?
3) Apart from security patches that will be discontinued and installers will no longer be made available on microsoft sites, are we still able to continue with development work using Silverlight SDK and toolkit for .xap files compilation?
4) Will silverlight applications go down completely? If there is a browser update to IE 12 for example, will Silverlight becomes incompatible?
