I have a subscription for Microsoft Office 365 personal that is billed annually to one email but I cannot access it using that email. It might be associated with another email through work but its for personal use. I got a new Mac and every time I log in--it says I need a subscription. I need help please.

    Hello Megan Smithwick,

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

The information we currently have is limited and we may need to do further troubleshooting.

Start by checking the version of Office already installed on your computer. Go to “Word” and select “About Word”. You can see the version of Office here. Make sure that the Office installed on your computer is the same as the Microsoft 365 you purchased.

Also, make sure your Microsoft 365 subscription is active. You can check the status of your subscription by logging into your Microsoft account page and checking the “Subscriptions” section. You can click “Install” here to download the version you have.

Feel free to share any results, if you need more real-time or remote assistance, you can contact the online support department in the following ways.

    Best regards,

Ian - MSFT | Microsoft Community Support Specialist
