WHS 2011 Client Restore Freezes

I have a 15-af027cl that I am trying to do a system restore on. I boot from a USB drive and get to the screen where it shows Windows being loaded (the little circle going round and round), but that is as far as it ever gets. Does anyone have any idea on what might be causing the process to hang at this point? I'd think if drivers then I'd make it to the screen where drivers are loaded and some would be missing. I've used the same drive successfully on a desktop, so I know the system is intact on the USB drive.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

    Hello NeilWyllie,

The most logical reason is that you have enabled Secure Boot on your BIOS, to ensure where exactly is the option you might need to check the website of the manufacturer.

My recommendation is first to Save your BIOS setting before applying any change, once the operation is done, you can load again the save settings.

    Best regards!
