A Microsoft file hosting and synchronization service.
Dear James ,
Thank you for reaching out!
Just to clarify, since you mentioned that the online files match the offline files on your laptop, could you confirm if the files in OneDrive online are indeed in sync with the files on your local device in windows? If they don't match, I suggest trying a reset of OneDrive. Here are the steps:
Unlink OneDrive: Unlink and re-link OneDrive
- Right-click the OneDrive icon in the system tray and choose Settings.
- Under the Account tab, click Unlink this PC.
- Once unlinked, the OneDrive folder on your PC will become a regular folder. You can then delete the entire folder.
Re-link OneDrive:
- Sign back in to OneDrive and let it resync your files.
Reset OneDrive: Reset OneDrive
However, if this scenario doesn't apply to your case, please feel free to post back with more details, and I will assist further. To help further troubleshoot the issue, could you please provide some additional details?
- Could you provide me a screenshot of the sync display?
- May I know if you are using OneDrive for business for personal OneDrive?
- May I know if you are using windows or Mac?
I appreciate your patience and understanding and thank you for your time and cooperation.
Best regards,
Sophia
