Public preview feature "AllowUpdateAddressSpaceInPeeredVnets" not working?

I have successfully registered this feature in my subscription (12hrs ago), but am still unable to add an address range to a peered vNet either via Azure Portal or Powershell. Error message is still as before enabling the feature - "ErrorMessage: Address space of the virtual network /subscriptions/<subscriptionID>/resourceGroups/RG1/providers/Microsoft.Network/virtualNetworks/RG1-vnet cannot change when virtual network has peerings."
