How do I get rid of draft with Copilot

Opening a new blank document in Word (Microsoft Office 365) I see the following line...

"Select the icon or press Alt+i to draft with Copilot" ...

How do I get that out of there?

Microsoft 365 and Office | Word | For home | Windows

In the desktop version of Word for Windows, version 2501 or later:
Select File > Options.
Select Copilot in the navigation pane.
Clear the check box 'Enable Copilot'.
Click OK.
In other Office apps, you'll have to wait until Microsoft adds a similar option.

I don't have "Copilot" in my File->Options menu to be able to turn it off.

I opted out of AI/connected experiences in my O365 account, but MS pushed an update onto my computer yesterday & now I have the same icons & no "copilot" in any menu I can find. I checked my account settings & the "Connected Experiences" is still turned off. When I click on the copilot dingbat to see if I can turn it off from there it tells me I have to turn connected stuff on.

So, I'm opted out at the account level, but I can't turn off the notification/invitation to draft with copilot in word? Do I have to opt in to be able to turn the dingbat off and then opt out again?

Don't beat yourself up about it: this is a brand-new option that few users would have discovered on their own.

Did and done. Thank you so much for that, and please don't ask why I didn't think of that myself.
