    Hi Alex de Koning

Thank you for posting on the Microsoft Community forum.

Based on your description" I can’t Scan to mail on Kyocera printer, smtp settings are right, error 0x3201"

Here are a few things you can try:

Check SMTP Settings: Double-check the SMTP server address, port number, and authentication settings. Ensure they match the settings provided by Office 365.

    • SMTP Server: smtp.office365.com
    • Port: 587 (TLS) or 25 (non-TLS)
    • Encryption: STARTTLS
    • Authentication: Your Office 365 email address and password

    Update Configuration:

If you're using a custom application or script, ensure that the configuration includes enabling STARTTLS. For example, in a configuration file, you might need to add a line like mail.smtp.starttls.enable=true.

Firewall and Security Settings: Ensure that the firmware update was installed correctly. Sometimes, reapplying the update can resolve issues.

    • Visit the Kyocera support website to download and install the latest firmware for your printer

Network Configuration: Ensure that the printer is properly connected to the network and can access the internet.

    • Check for any firewall or network security settings that might be blocking the SMTP connection.

Ensure that your Office 365 account is configured to allow SMTP relay. kindly double check it in Office 365 admin center.

If issue persist after doing all those steps, I recommend ask Admin to follow the steps in this article: Get support - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn to create a support ticket to Microsoft, so that they can check with logs.

appreciate your patience and understanding and thank you for your time and cooperation.
